Meditation


Zazen, the meditation form taught by all Zen schools, is best learned in the doing, with a teacher to help you adjust and clarify your practice. We offer brief zazen instruction every Saturday morning at 7:15, and more extensive instruction by appointment at other times during the week. 

   If you want to supplement your practice with written instructions, one good source is found here. This is best used as a reminder after you have begun practicing zazen with a teacher. For greater depth on the subject, Shunryu Suzuki-roshi's book Zen Mind, Beginner's Mind is a very good place to start.
